This activity asks students to categorize 18 different organisms into their respective categories. Categories include: producers, decomposers, scavengers, herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores. Background information about each category is provided at the beginning of the resource. Students can cut out the organism cards (pictures included), or you can have them rewrite the names for a faster activity. This is a notes page where your students can organize what they have learned about measuring physical properties. The list of physical properties is given for them, and there are spaces to the right for your students to describe how they are observed or measured. This would be a good formative assessment after a unit on measuring physical properties.
