About the store

Experience

30+ years in education! I have taught everything from K through University levels along with a little time teaching at a correctional facility. It's hard to stay out of the classroom.

Teaching style

I believe I have a kid (or student) centered approach. Start with your standard or objective, find out where the student is in relation to meeting the standard, identify their strengths and optimum mode of learning; then go for it! I am learning that listening is the key.

Awards & shining teacher moments

A former student writing me to tell me they succeeded.

My own education history

Pacific Lutheran University '91 B.A. Ed, Reading/Sped minor City University '94 M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction Too many classes to remember!

Additional biographical information

I don't do cute for the sake of cute. But I do put a great deal of thought and care into what I create. Always with 'How is this beneficial to kids?" in mind.
