Experience

At Brainy Storms, I create engaging, low-prep resources that bring learning to life! From quirky science warm-ups to creative discussion starters, my products are designed to spark curiosity, build community, and give teachers back their time. Whether you're looking to add a fun twist to your daily routine or need content that supports all learners, I’ve got you covered. I have over 9 years of teaching experience in diverse educational settings, including public schools, private schools, and international schools. I’ve served as a special education teacher, case manager, science teacher, and department lead. I also have experience implementing edtech tools, supporting schoolwide rollouts, and leading professional development. I love building resources that blend creativity, structure, and inclusion.

Teaching style

My teaching style is interactive, flexible, and focused on student voice. I believe every learner has something valuable to share, and I aim to create opportunities for curiosity and critical thinking daily. My classroom is a space where questions are celebrated, mistakes are part of the process, and engagement is the goal.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I’ve been honored to serve as a grade-level lead and department head, and I’ve supported district-wide training and onboarding initiatives. One of my proudest moments was helping my school roll out a new edtech platform by creating the training materials, supporting implementation, and leading PD for staff across multiple campuses.

My own education history

I hold a degree in Social Work and took an alternative certification for both Elementary (EC–6) and Special Education (EC–12). I’ve continued my professional development with training in trauma-informed teaching, inclusive practices, and instructional design. I’m a lifelong learner, and love turning that passion into helpful tools for fellow educators.

Additional biographical information

When I’m not lesson planning or creating, I’m spending time with my family, enjoying the outdoors, or dreaming up pun-filled projects. I love to travel and bring a global perspective to everything I create. I believe humor, connection, and curiosity are some of the most powerful tools we can bring to our work as educators.
