I created these 25+ practice prompts for my students who struggled with Opinion Writing. My students enjoyed the variety of prompts and I know yours will, too! These are great for homework/independent practice, intervention for upper grade students, and easy to print and use when you need some quick sub plans for writing. They would also be great practice if you give summer homework packs to your students. I intentionally omitted clipart and color for low ink printing. Enjoy!

I have created 5 spring themed journals with clipart to capture student interest and give them a chance to write using different styles/genres (i.e. stories, interview style writing, etc.). This is a great table I use in my classroom to reinforce and record genre traits. I have created a legal sized and letter sized version of the table. I prefer to use the legal sized version with my 3rd grade students because it allows for more writing space.
