Use this activity to introduce to slope-intercept to middle and high school students. Students will graph various functions in y=mx+b form and examine how changing the slope and intercept affects the graph. (Two variations are included: one using a graphing calculator, one using function tables!)
A sudoku with a mathematical twist! Each sudoku square has a mathematical computation instead of a number. Students must solve the expression first before completing the puzzle. My teaching approach to math is that you need some hands-on activities to keep them interested, some repetition to keep it in their memory, a lot of patience to keep yourself sane, and a lot of energy to keep up with them.
