6 7 or Six Seven is all the rage. This math activity requires students to work with 67 or related numbers (6/7, 0.67, etc) to write, compare, and calculate numbers in problems that play on the 6, 7 theme. This would be great for the 67th day of school, review, a fun day, or a sub plan.

I used this 1000th day escape room activity to review 5th grade math concepts and celebrate their 1000th day of school!

Students will find the volume of a real life rectangular prism (cereal box, tissue box, pasta box, etc). They then will break the box down and show it's net and surface area of each of the faces. The accompanying pages guide the student through this and provides a work area to name the measurements and find the volume and surface area. Students are also asked to accurately draw their prism in 3D and also draw the shape's net.

Students can practice using the toolbar found on the New York State Math and ELA tests. Students can solve problems and screenshot their work. They can paste their work on the slides which allows the teacher to see their practice.

Students will design their dream vacation to a destination of their choosing. In this Google Slide doc, students will research and add information about their choices and also the cost of each aspect of their trip. They will include the data in a chart and figure out their total cost and also the cost per person in their party. Students enjoy the freedom of choice and exploration that this project gives them. Students will use a digital link (or your can provide paper ads) to "shop" for a dinner that they are planning. Students have a budget to stick to and must purchase a Protein, Side Dish, Drink, and Dessert. They have the freedom to construct a meal that appeals to their interests. I love seeing what they come up with. You can learn a lot about your students by what they choose.

This activity has two slides. The first slide has links to videos on BrainPop, YouTube, and StudyJams that will introduce your students to the concept of division. The second slide has a short activity which will help you to check your students' undertsanding.

There are 10 monthly GoogleSlides that will allow students to determine the equivalent values of the day of the school year. Example: Day: 90 Fraction: 90/180 = 1/2 Decimal: 0.5 Percent: 50% This can be edited to fit the needs of the school.

I used this as a foldover topper for my son's 100th day cookie snack. Print, cut, and staple. It's that easy!

Students will halve and double a chocolate chip recipe. I used this as an extra credit activity, but this would be great to use for a substitute or homework practice as well.
