A collection of 9 lessons to introduce students some of the concepts involved in Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. Aligns well with the Ontario Curriculum! The slides have recommended links to videos and articles embedded into each lesson. There are a variety of activity types throughout including videos, article analysis, reflection, rock painting, posters. Hands on viscosity experiment allows students to explore the viscosity of common liquids. Document is set up for students to be successful in recording their procedure, observations, and a reflection connecting ideas to real life. Success criteria/rubric included! Aligned with Ontario Science Curriculum - Grade 8 (can easily be adapted for other grades)

Students will work through the design process to build and test a styrofoam plane. The pink foam from a hardware store works perfectly for them to carve. Slides include step by step process, example pictures, and reflection writing for art. Cross curricular with grade 6 science, math (surface area & measurement) and visual art (design & painting).
