My teaching approach focuses on clear, structured instruction that builds student confidence step by step. I believe students learn best when complex skills are broken into manageable parts and taught through explicit modelling, guided practice, and meaningful application.
In literacy and grammar instruction, I emphasise helping students understand how language works, not just memorising rules. Students are given opportunities to recognise patterns, practise new skills, and apply their understanding in both reading and writing.
My classroom practice is also strongly influenced by structured literacy approaches and the Science of Reading, ensuring that students develop strong foundational skills that support long-term learning success.
The resources I create reflect this approach: clear, uncluttered, classroom-ready materials that support effective teaching and practical learning.
