This lesson provides an introduction to division by making equal groups, some with remainders. It is modeled after a 2nd grade lesson for Everyday Math 6.11. It is very interactive and allows opportunity to discuss strategies that the students use to determine the equal sharing groups. Enjoy!

This is a great tool for students who are struggling when completing basic operations. It helps them to line up their numbers based upon place value to keep their work organized.
