Bringing Math Forward

There are three items in this bundle: an introductory PowerPoint with vocabulary and examples on both the theorem and the converse, a student worksheet with problems on the theorem and its converse, a STEM project in which students create a stained glass window.

In this bundle, three items are included. The first is an introductory PowerPoint which explains the Pythagorean Theorem and which has student examples. Secondly, there is a student worksheet where students can apply what they have learned; there is a link to a Google doc with the student portion of the worksheet. Finally, there is a STEM project in which students must design and build a home for a gnome.

This bundle includes an introductory PowerPoint and a student worksheet on the Pythagorean Theorem as well as an introductory PowerPoint and student worksheet with an added activity on the distance formula. Answer keys are provided for both workhsheets as well as the distance formula activity. Also included is the STEM project, Pythagoras' Stained Glass Windows.

This bundle has a PowerPoint presentation and a student activity, both on the distance formula. The PowerPoint presentation inclues the derivation of the distance formula from the Pythagorean Theorem, student examples, and an exit ticket to check for student understanding. The worksheet contains distance formula problems with integers, fractions, and decimals as well as an added color by number activity. The activity can be done on hard copies or virtually.
