This is a comparing fraction activity using cookie recipes. Students must compare fractions of different denominators (limited to denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8) to determine which recipe requires more or less of a particular ingredient. It allows students to see how they can use fractions and their equivalents in everyday life. Be advised, the recipes have been modified and will not turn out as planned if actually prepared.
