Decorate the ice skates, cut out the pieces, and glue a craft stick between the folded rectangles. Next, glue the ends of the rectangles to the boot. This activity can also include hole punching the dots to increase hand strength and lacing a string through the holes to increase fine motor dexterity. To increase the challenge more, the student could tie the two skates together after lacing them.

Played similar to popular kids' card game UNO, this card game is great for practicing commonly reversed letters as well as matching colors. It also incorporates writing and reading skills for students. Print on card stock and cut out (won't need grey card backs) or on plain paper with grey card backs to avoid see-through cards.

Use this 3-lined paper for students who need a little extra visual support. The colored bottom section of the lines helps with sizing and line placement ("short letters" fit in the yellow). This can help students of various abilities, but is especially helpful for students who need the visual support for writing or beginning writers. Lines are 1/2" from top to bottom and used frequently with Kindergarten, First, and Second graders (although also used with older students as well).
