I am an accomplished artist and teacher for over 30 years, motivating and inspiring students of all ages. I received the Raleigh Medal of Arts for extra-ordinary achievements in the arts. I did my undergraduate work at Western Michigan University, studying watercolors and drawing with Harold Hefner, of Spain and completed her Masters at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in painting, art therapy and pottery.

Experience

I am an accomplished artist and teacher for over 30 years, motivating and inspiring students of all ages. I received the Raleigh Medal of Arts for extra-ordinary achievements in the arts. I did my undergraduate work at Western Michigan University, studying watercolors and drawing with Harold Hefner, of Spain and completed her Masters at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in painting, art therapy and pottery.

Teaching style

I teach by doing visual demonstrations which is why my lessons are videos rather than power point. Being a visual artist I believe we learn easier by watching and hearing it explained.

Additional biographical information

I have traveled learning and painting to many places such as Germany, England, Spain, France, Czech, Austria, and Hungary also taking photographs for my art works. In my early childhood it became apparent to my teachers that I possessed exceptional artistic ability. By age nine, I won recognition by my teachers and was sent to the University of Buffalo to attend art classes.
