Experience

Being an art teacher gives me the opportunity to help children develop essential skills that nurture creativity, compassion, and innovation. I'm entering my seventeenth year of teaching Elementary Art in the Philadelphia area, and I'm proud to have worked across a wide range of educational settings—including private, parochial, public, and non-profit schools.

Teaching style

Every day, I’m grateful for the chance to encourage self-expression in young learners. I truly believe that the more children are exposed to the arts, the more vibrant and hopeful our world will become.

Awards & shining teacher moments

One of the highlights of my career was serving as a lead teacher with Philadelphia Mural Arts, where I had the incredible experience of co-teaching the painting of the longest mural in the city. In addition to classroom teaching, I also enjoy working in other artistic mediums, such as stained glass, which I’ve taught at the James A. Michener Art Museum.

My own education history

B.A. in Art Education from St. Joseph's University in 2007 M.Ed. from Cabrini College in 2015 Plus 30 Credits in Education from Delaware Valley University in 2022
