Experience

I have been an early educator for over 15 years. I have taught children in 3K through first grade which has given me a wealth of experience in how little ones learn and grow. I have witnessed first hand that if you set high expectations and provide the necessary supports all students can and will learn.

Teaching style

As an educator, I believe in providing a supportive academic and social environment to best prepare students for a lifetime of learning and evolving. I am also a team worker who is motivated about helping students reach their fullest potential. I absolutely love what I do! It has been and continues to be a pleasure serving the students and families in my care. I look forward to my lessons reaching even more students and helping support other awesome educators out there by taking a little off of their often times overloaded plates.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My own education history

Throughout my childhood, my parents made sure to impart to me the importance of education. This was not always easy being born and raised in the South Bronx where opportunities are sometimes limited if not altogether absent. My parents enrolled me in a Catholic school, Saints Peter and Paul for first through eighth grade. I went on to attend the Highschool of Economics and Finance, a public high school in lower Manhattan. From there I furthered my education by attending Hunter College and ultimately graduate school at The City University of New York.
