If you show support for my offerings, please tweak, supplement, and modify to suit your needs. I think that is a great thing about teaching is when you can add your own elements as well. I try to make class plans connect to everyday life and to generate motivation with high interest topics. I also want to support different school settings like RTI, tutorials, interventions, home school and more.

Thanks for your interest in my beginning of the year paper. It’s a great way to get the know my students’ interests and I subtly throw in a random math question here or there. I like to know what my students are passionate about outside of school or try to discover their own strengths and interests.

Teaching style

Always believe in building up the confidence of our students. I see so much math anxiety and school stress each year. I believe in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chances. I believe in building community with the kids to try to get them to motivate themselves to do better in school.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My expertise and experience is with middle school but I have taught elementary and high school before. Middle school is sort of that strange transitional period where some things like coloring still appeals to them. I have seen it firsthand when their excitement for childlike things are still there.

My own education history

Over 25 years in education. They said maybe this TPT thing could buy me a cup of coffee. I kindly ask for your support in reaching that goal. Thanks so much!
