The pre school piano music pack is a collection of activities to use with very young beginners who are being introduced to the piano. I use this pack with my pre-school piano group and summer workshops. They are designed to be used alongside teacher-led activities. Core concepts included are: finger numbers groups of 2 and 3 black keys keyboard geography (A-G) forte and piano crotchets, minims and semi-breves

Hog The Right Note is a fun music theory game for young children and beginners. This game will help to reinforce keyboard geography - recognising the keys A-G on the piano. Pupils pick a card from the stack and identify the note name. If they answer correctly, they move forwards finding the next letter on the game board.

Landmark Note Ahoy is a fun music activity for young beginners. The game reinforces important landmark notes. Pupils move around the pirate themed game board, identifying landmark notes form the note cards. Notes used are: Treble C, Treble G, Middle C, Bass F and Bass C.

A set of 12 cards with simple note lengths: crotchet, minim, semi breve and dotted minim. Pupil identify (some cards require the pupil to add two notes together) and place a peg over the correct number of donuts. Using pegs is a great way to help young children develop dexterity.

Melody Mountain is a music theory game which helps beginners learn the important concept of reading intervals. This game includes a game board and a set of interval cards (in both the treble and bass clef). The intervals used are unison, seconds, thirds, fourths and fifths.
