About the store
I taught first and second grade and then moved into a position as a technology facilitator. In that position I taught professional development within the school, district, and at conferences. I also helped develop lesson and resources for K-4, and co-taught lessons in K-4 classrooms. In the state of North Carolina Technology Facilitators are required to become certified in Instructional Design. The program that I attended has a reputation across the country for being rigourous. My training focused on designing materials in a format that takes into account how people learn. All of my materials are designed with this training in mind. This means that I not only apply my experience as a teacher when developing resources, but the science behind formatting the materials as well.

This is a zip file that contains JPEGs of clipart images I have created for math. There are tons of items you can use to create your own products. Feel free to use them for commercial use, but I would appreciate you giving me credit by linking back to my product in your description. This allows others to purchase it from me as well. Lunch Chart Labels & Directions
I have looked at different school district lunch menus from California to North Carolina, and made a label with pictures for each menu option I found. If there isn't a label for it then it is obscure. You will get a zipped folder that includes the decorative labels, some blank cards for obscure choices, and a direction file on how to make a lunch chart as shown. This is a vowel sort based on short and long sounds. The students look at pictures and sort them based on the sounds they hear.

First Grade Common Core Morning Work for First Quarter
This is 45 pages of morning work for the first quarter. It is meant to be a brief review of most of the objectives for Common Core Curriculum. Each day covers a mixture of ELA and Math. Rainbow Words - A High Frequency Word Package
I have created a large package to practice high frequency words. I call them rainbow words, because the words are broken up into groups of colors to allow them to accomplish learning one color at a time. This package includes the following items:

Tie Dye Paper Pack
This is a package of 10 tie dye paper images in various colors. They are 8.5 x 11inch JPEGs. The images can be printed for scrapbooking, and making classroom decorations. They can also be inserted into documents or used as backgrounds for websites. They can be used commercially for creating OTHER products.

Fact Family Trees
These are little trees that have numbers at each corner. They are used to show the relationship between the numbers. You want your students to think: "I know 10 - 5 must be 5, because I know 5 + 5 i=10." Students can use these like flash cards. They help build fluency with addition and subtraction. You can print them on card stock, laminate, cut them out, and then put them together with a ring for a set of cards. You could also post them all the wall and make "The Forest of Math Facts."

Teaching style
I have multiple teaching styles depending on the circumstance and the material being taught. I prefer to be a guide helping the learner discover the objective in an Inquiry method. However, I feel that nothing is black and white and sometimes direct instruction is more effective. It is important to me to do whatever it takes to meet the needs of all of my students.
