"Strange Potatoes" is a phrase that a friend of mine uses when things do not belong and it inspired me to create a game for students to identify things that do not belong by using error analysis.
In this game students go through task cards that have the answers provided. When they spot the card that has an incorrect answer, they have spotted a "Strange Potato" and must correct the problem.
This game is great for individual students, groups, partners, test prep, and station work.
