There are 3 different letters available to send home to parents letting them know all about how their child's birthday will be celebrated at school! This is the perfect way to make sure ALL children have a special day, no matter what their parents can (or can't) do for them. :) **My school doesn't have the ability to print in color so I utilize my colored paper to print these on to make sure they draw the attention of parents.
These book shopping bookmarks are a great tool to help your students shop for "just right books" for them! I recommend printing these on colored cardstock and laminating them. When your expectations for students' book choices change, you can easily wipe of what you've written and change the books they can choose! If your students struggle with figuring out how many books to choose, how many nonfiction books, chapter books, easy books, etc, then this should help solve that problem a bit! This boo
Provide this letter to parents to support their understanding of reading levels and working with their child at home on reading. I have used this letter for several years before deciding to share it with others. Parents have LOVED this piece of information and have used it thoroughly!
This letter has multiple uses! I typically send this letter home on "open house night" or "meet the teacher night" so that the parents and child have a chance to discuss expectations before school starts. This letter really gives the teacher an idea of what parents expect from their child. Once the teacher gets majority of these back, he/she can then utilize parents' responses to help make the class rules along with the students. This way EVERYONE is included in behavior expectations.
There are so many things you can do with these puzzles! I recommend printing these in color or on colored card stock and laminating them so that they can be reused for several years! Once laminated, you cut on the black lines and then the kids put the pieces together using their skip counting knowledge to discover the picture. I use these puzzles as early finisher tasks during math rotations or to reteach skip counting. They have so many uses and my students love them!
Set up homework and reading routines with this letter to parents and daily reading log! 1st 2 pages are for younger students who are just working on reading and talking about what they have read! Last 2 pages are for older students who are working on writing about what they have read!
This is a great activity to help your kids get to know each other! I also utilize this bag in the middle of the year when a new student comes to our class. It helps my students welcome the new student and get to know him/her.
This is a great activity to use during "Meet the Teacher" night or "Open House" when a student and parents are learning and discovering about their new classroom. It keeps the kids busy and gives them a way to find several things before the first day of school.
Print these tags on both sides, cut, and attach to student backpacks! Never ask a child how they're going home-- just check their backpack! Great for younger kids.
This product is editable so that you can make it match your student's needs! I utilize this chart to positively encourage the student to work towards their goal based on their behavior needs. Make sure you and the student discuss their goal and what they will receive once they are successful and reach their goal! :)
I found while teaching my students to write narrative stories that they struggled to write the events in order as they happened. This organizer helped them plan and organize their writing and then transfer it back into their stories. This product could also be transferable if laminated. That way students could use it for more than one story/event. :)
Starting to send home notes or study guides for your students to study? For many, this may be their first time having to study material! Help put both the parents and students at ease by teaching and sharing some important study tips. This letter will help parents know what their child is learning at school and how to help them!
