This is a great overview lesson of area and perimeter. It comes with a Power Point and lesson information/activity recording sheet and practice problems. The word file comes with area and perimeter cards, which I would print on different colored paper and laminate. Students would then hold up the cards when scenarios of area and perimeter came up on the Power Point. It also comes with practice problems and a recording sheet. The Power Point includes area and perimeter scenarios, along with
Choice board of activities for students to complete to review unit rates, ratios, mean, median, mode and range. Students will pick three activities to complete in a row. Perfect as an extension activity or to use during a review lesson for more independent practice
This checklist helps students stay focused in the first 10 minutes of class. It gives them the list of activities they are expected to complete to ensure they are doing their best. In my classroom, I give students points based on each item on the list. If they earn so many points in a week, they get a reward at the end of the week.
A center activity where student's have to be able to recognize the pattern when dividing by tens and hundreds to get a decimal answer. Students will be asked to match the problem with the correct answer. They will then have to group the problem and answers together by pattern. Could be used a center, or an individual early finisher activity...make sure to print the cards with problems back to back with the leaves pattern, so that you cannot see thru the card.
This is a great chart for students who need a little extra help staying focused during class. Student will be asked to perform certain behaviors during class and if they do they get an incentive reward. Can be modified with times that fit your schedule. Great for older students

Teaching style
I love to do small group instruction in every lesson. I have developed centers to work for all areas of teaching. I have regained my love and passion of educating when I became a small group instructor!
