This is a presentation that explains and defines 5 text structures: compare/contrast, spatial/descriptive, chronological, sequence/process, and problem/solution. There is a slide which defines and describes each process as well as an example slide for each. I have also included 10 slides that help the students practice what they have just learned.

This is a character chart for the students to fill out while they are reading The Devil's Arithmetic. It is completely blank except for each characters name, so the students have to fill in each section.
