A simple tool that reminds students the steps of close reading, how and what to annotate, and a few thinking codes to mark up the text they are reading/analyzing. Print and laminate to use. I usually like to show the video a few times, without, then with the lyrics. We close read the lyrics to look for the main ideas, details, etc. Lastly, students independently fill out the prompts.
