Experience

Hello, my name is Danielle. I am an experienced Intervention Specialist with 11 years of teaching experience—primarily in 8th grade, with one year in 5th grade. I also have my Master's Degree in Autism. While I spend most of my time supporting students in the math classroom, I am passionate about all subject areas and committed to helping students succeed across the curriculum.

Teaching style

My preferred teaching approach is tailored to support visual and kinesthetic learners. Through my experience in the classroom, I have found that students learn best when they can visualize concepts and connect new material to their own life experiences. While math can be challenging for many, my goal is to make it engaging, accessible, and enjoyable for all learners.

My own education history

Bachelor's Degree: Bluffton University, Mild/Moderate Special Education Master's Degree: Special Education/Autism Spectrum Disorder Master's +20: American College of Education

Additional biographical information

My hobbies include camping/traveling, spending time with my family, being the best dog mama to Oakley (a golden retriever) and Finley (a mini Bernese Mountain Dog), coaching the girls' varsity soccer team, and watching Gilmore Girls whenever I get the chance.
