About the store
Welcome to Calm Learners. Our goal is to help you spend less time planning and more time doing what you love, both in and out of school. Together, my wife and I bring over 40 years of combined teaching experience to the classroom. Between the two of us, we’ve taught special education, severe behaviour, ELL, regular classrooms, and learning support. My wife is currently a learning support teacher (including English Language Learners), and I’m a classroom teacher. Over the years, we’ve learned what truly helps create calm, focused, and supportive classrooms — where both students and teachers can thrive. At Calm Learners, we share the strategies and resources that have worked for the overwhelming majority of our students, saving teachers time and helping them build peaceful, well-managed learning environments.

Teaching style

At Calm Learners, we believe that a calm and focused classroom is the foundation for meaningful learning. Our resources are thoughtfully designed to support a child-centered approach—where every student feels comfortable, confident, and ready to take risks with their learning. Differentiation is at the heart of what we do, helping every learner experience success at their own level. With tools that simplify classroom organization and support time management, our goal is to make teaching more intentional and less stressful. Calm Learners was created by teachers who know that when classrooms run smoothly, students thrive—and teachers have more time to focus on what truly matters: the learners.

My own education history

We both have specialized training in supporting diverse learners. I hold a Diploma in Inclusive Education, and my wife has a Master’s Degree in Inclusive Education. Our shared background helps us create resources that meet the needs of all students — from those who need extra support to those ready for enrichment.
