Sub Binder Absence Report Slips
I leave these slips in my sub binder for easy attendance! If you are out a day unexpectedly and didn't leave your laptop or login information, the sub can easily mark who is absent for your classroom and send the slip to the office or to someone who can put your class attendance in!

Partition with Playdough!
Practice partitioning into halves, thirds, and fourths using Playdough! My students did this during math centers, they created each shape with playdough and then cut it into halves, thirds, or fourths. Once they saw their parts were equal they drew their lines on the sheet to show their answer.

2D Shapes Sort & Memory Match
My second graders LOVE to play Memory Match, so I had to make one when learning about shapes! I printed these cards on 2 different shades of blue, so the actual shapes were one color and the name or attributes were another. They chose one of each color and if the attribute matched the shape they kept the cards. Before we played Memory Match, we did a sort with the cards and reviewed each shape and their attributes.
