This is a simple cut and paste project that I use with my animals in winter unit. The children enjoyed making a sleeping bear, and adding a "dream bubble" to show what the bear is dreaming about.

In my classroom I dedicate my Morning Message on Fridays for editing. The students then independently edit a simple sentence for capitalization, punctuation, and correct spelling in short vowel words and sight words. The students circle errors and fix the sentence, rewrite the sentence properly, and then illustrate it. I also require them to check it with a friend before handing it in!
