This is the Lesson plan for the second week of August, entitled 'B is for Bug'. The children will explore insects and the insect world. Included are a printable copy of the weekly plan for your parent board, full instructions for daily activities, and a printable calendar. The week will include art activities, gross motor games within the theme, fine motor and sensory activities, books, songs, and finger play ideas.

Teaching style
I believe in setting up a rich environment and allowing children the freedom to chose the activities that spark their interest. I also live by the creed 'Independence is messy'. It is so important to allow a child to feel capable, to give them time to make mistakes in an accepting environment. Mistakes are how we learn and therefore they are absolutely vital to growth....they must be celebrated! The more a child is allowed, and even encouraged, to make mistakes and messes, the sooner they will become able and confident.
