Experience

Christina Carbone Otten has been teaching since 2012. She has experience working in urban city schools. Her passion and strengths are in finding and providing equitable experiences for all learners, more specifically ELs, students with learning disabilities and social emotional behaviors.

Teaching style

Christina believes in the power of student voice and choice. Students work independently, in small group and as a collective unit working on success in collaboration, communication, critical thinking and compassion. She believes strongly in mindfulness practices and journaling with students within the curriculum and enjoys incorporating technology into her lessons.
