Meet Mrs. Thompson, an enthusiastic educator whose passion for teaching spans over 30 years! She started by building foundational skills in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 4th grade self-contained classrooms before diving into the exciting and ever-changing world of Special Education (SPED). Her journey in SPED is vast, covering everything from Pre-School (PPCD/ECSE) to specialized Resource, Autism, and Behavioral Intervention settings. Currently, she runs a highly structured special education classroom. Her entire career has been spent serving students in Title 1 low-income schools, giving her a unique expertise in creating high-impact, engaging resources that work for every child.

The “Safe Zone” is built upon a 3-step process. First, teach the student in a calm state about the system using the Emotion & Behavior Posters.
