exploring the calculator worksheet
I use this because from 8th grade up in Texas students get to use their calculator on their state exams. This is a first week worksheet getting them to look for basic functions of the calculator, and then whenever they find something new out about it they can write the operations directly on the page itself as an instruction manual. There is no key because everyone uses different calculators depending upon what your school has.

Texas Geography the Road to Safety
This is an apocalyptic journey from three different parts of Texas to safety in Galveston. The student will use a map (not provided) to guide the groups from the three cities, help them look for resources, and guide them away from danger. This fun activity is a great way for students to learn about the state and how to navigate it.

I received an Associate's from Vernon College, my BAS from Wayland Baptist Univ, my Master's for Education Administration from Lamar Univ, and a Master's Certification in Special Education as a Diagnostician.
Additional biographical information
I'm an outdoorsman, father, musician, and a firefighter. In addition to the teaching I do at school, I am also a merit badge counselor for several of the scouts options, and a scoutmaster for my troop. I also teach adult training in firearms, emergency response, and rescue.
