Experience

I’ve been a passionate Kindergarten teacher for over 25 years, proudly serving in the same district throughout my career. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with students of all abilities and have gained deep insight into early childhood development—especially in the areas of behavior, emotional regulation, and social-emotional learning. My classroom has always been a safe, nurturing space where children can learn how to identify their emotions, practice calming strategies, and build the skills they need to thrive both academically and socially. Whether you're looking for calming posters, behavior tools, or visual supports, I hope my products help you make your classroom a little more peaceful, positive, and productive!

Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in patience, consistency, and compassion. I believe young children thrive in structured environments where they feel safe, seen, and supported. I use a balance of clear expectations, visual supports, and hands-on learning to guide students through both academic and emotional growth. I prioritize social-emotional learning alongside academics, teaching students how to recognize their feelings, use calming strategies, and build respectful relationships. I also rely on visual cues, routines, and positive reinforcement to help students stay engaged and regulate their behavior. Above all, I believe that every child can succeed when they are given the right tools, encouragement, and a calm, loving classroom.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my 25 years in the classroom, I’ve been honored with several recognitions, but my greatest rewards come from the growth I see in my students—especially those who begin the year struggling with emotions or behaviors and leave feeling confident, capable, and loved. Some of my most shining moments aren’t found in certificates—they're in the breakthroughs: the first time a student uses a calming strategy on their own, or when a quiet child finds their voice during storytime. Those moments fuel my passion and inspire the resources I create.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy. In addition to my formal education, I’ve completed ongoing professional development in behavior management, emotional regulation, and strategies to support diverse learners. I’m passionate about combining strong literacy instruction with social-emotional learning to help students grow both academically and personally.
