This is a full unit plan including: lesson plans, examples worksheets, assessment rubric, teachers notes differentiationposters Has been taught to a year 7 art class but could be appropriate for other year levels as well. Learnings are about the art elements of line and texture, students learn 2 colouring techniques with pencils and how to categorise colours into warm and cool. Using this document you can teach the whole 8 60 minute lessons, making up a whole unit of work.
Three line worksheets, starting on creating different textures/patterns with lines, and how lines can be used effectively. Then how to use line in a way to create shading, the a more detailed look into the different shading techniques.
These are sets of 3 worksheets, starting with a create a colour palette worksheet and then a draft of a design worksheet (this can be either the juice box or the chip packet worksheet) then a final design. Would suit a visual communication class. Could be set as an extra if you are going to be absent, should take a couple of lessons to complete task.
The first two worksheets are the same, however, one focuses on colour texture and how to create texture using colour (particularly coloured pencils) then the other is focusing more on how to use line to create texture. You can choose which is more relevant to your unit/ topic. The beetle worksheet can be done with any materials or style.
These 3 worksheets are a basic start to understanding how to use paint, as well as a little bit of colour theory/ how to mix colours. Starting with understanding the warm and cool primary colours and how to mix paint to create secondary colours. Second sheet then goes into changing from one colour to another. The finally some how to use a brush, as it is quite different to a pencil or texter.
