I created this as a way for students to research some of the agricultural products of our state. There a space for them to select a crop and then 6 questions for them to answer about the crop that they chose.
Students will become experts on one of the branches of the state government in their expert group. Then, they can share out to jigsaw groups what they learned and listen to learn about the other branches. Includes a 3 day guide for implementation, research guides for each group, and a read out page to guide them in sharing.
I created this poster set of important Virginians that my students need to know. I included all of the people highlighted in the Virginia Studies SOLs. There are 35 pages including the title slide. There are 3 pages each for both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson because they are discussed in different time periods. One has only information about their role in the revolutionary war, another has information about their role in the new nation, and another for each of them has both time period

This product is designed to give students choice in their word work activities. These activities will work with any spelling or word study list. The students will complete at least three activities each week, one from each tier, or "level."
This resource is meant for a short term research project where student groups become experts on a certain weather tool and share the information with the class. There are three different research sheets, with guiding questions. This was created for groups of three in my classroom. I used the sheet with different weather tools for groups to pick their weather tool, then let them research the rest of the period. Then, they presented the information to their peers the next day.
