HALLUX (Latin for "big toe") is a morphology categorization activity that directs students to choose words (tokens) and match them to the root word on the game board. It can be completed independently as a center activity or with an opponent, and players can choose to "win" once four in a row are completed, or they can clear the board! Students will learn superordinate Latin root words and identify the subordinate (derivative) multisyllabic English words.
