I taught gifted and talented students for 30 years in Shelby County Schools and retired in May of 2017. During that time,I found myself teaching in a variety of schools in different grade levels and subject matters, which is how I became a department store. Teaching style

I enjoy making and presenting lessons via Promethean Board flipcharts and have quite a few homemade charts, which I have transferred to PowerPoint. I always aim for higher level thinking and questioning as needed for gifted and talented kids; however, many resource teachers purchase my resources due to the clear lesson plans required from the various schools I taught at.

Awards & shining teacher moments

• I retired as a Level 5 teacher on a five point scale. • My students consistently won the Memphis in May Writing contest each year. • My best awards come in the form of hugs and homemade cards telling me I'm great!
