Analyze a Song as a Poem - rubric checklist

When studying poetic techniques, I like to point out how song lyrics are really poems.  Middle school students are usually really into music, so this is an engaging way to get them understanding poetry! Since only a part of the mark is actually about the poetic techniques, it also gives students who don’t fully understand yet a chance to still get a decent mark.

Tuck Everlasting - novel compared to movie

Bullying Poster

This product is simply a one-page resource to outline how to know if a situation is bullying or not. The first time I taught middle school, I created this poster to help teach my students the difference between bullying and regular arguments.  We went through MANY examples of what was what! In the future, I hope to create more posters showing all of these examples, but for now here is the original poster that I used.
