Here is a fun visual using LEGO pieces to illustrate the concept of note values for fine arts week 9! The first page outlines the concept for whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, and eighth notes. The subsequent pages feature a specific look at each note value. The final page has a piece of sheet music that students can fill in the correct note value above the LEGO brick pictured.
This is a printable activity for dynamics! Children will cut out the dynamics in music and place them where they go on the loudness scale. You can use the scale/activity for games while playing the cycle song! In practice, I would point to a position on the scale and the children would indicate the dynamic name, or play in the dynamic style I was pointing to!
