About the store
Jesse Wilson is a professional Artist and creator of CCACE (Creative Catalyst - Artist Consulting Educators), as well as the Owner and Operator of Skull Island Art and Fabrication, an art fabrication shop in California. She has worked with many different educators and organizations over the years, providing classes and collaborations with kids of all ages! This is an introduction to a workshop that was designed in the beginning of the 20/21 school year of remote learning. Jesse teamed up with a renowned PBL /STEAM School, High Tech High North County Middle School in San Diego, CA; to make a curriculum unique to the times. We explore: idea and project development, creative writing, shadow puppetry, and film making. This was a project that was designed in real time with 300 middle school students offering suggestion and insight. It is designed to be engaging and apply practical methods for creative building by working with recycled materials and common house hold objects. It is an on going and ever changing experience that is created with the kids we are teaching.

Teaching style

Jesse works with: hands on internships, workshops, and on line tutorials around PBL subjects. Her style of teaching and consulting integrates the Arts with the Core classes. The skills learned in the on line tutorials offer an exciting method of presentation that compliment other topics of study. i.e. A film about a history or science project.

My own education history

Jesse has worked as a craftswoman for 20 years. She is the owner and operator of a commercial art business, and has been an entrepreneur all her life. She Graduated from JCOS in Lakewood. CO, and then went into apprenticeships in varying creative and building trades.
