Currently I teach in a multi-grade gifted program that focuses on STEM topics. Our program serves students in grades 1-8 who have been identified as gifted in reading, math, and/or superior cognitive ability. I have also taught in the regular classroom (K-6) and also worked as a media specialist (K-8).

Metacognitive Organizer
Great thinkers reflect on their learning! This is a step that is often overlooked in today's classes. This graphic organizer gives students a chance to think metacognitively about what they've learned. Students are given the opportunity to reflect upon new concepts learned during class, what they liked, questions they still have, and their own individual effort. This tool is valuable for both students and teachers as a formative assessment tool!
