This book will teach kids how to read in Spanish syllable by syllable. As the pages are turned new syllables are added to the previous ones. Making learning how to read easy, as they are only learning 5 syllables at a time. I have taught my students how to read using this book. It has been very rewarding seeing my students' eyes light up when they start reading all by themselves.

I use this Writing Rubric to help students rate their own writing and the writing of others. This writing rubric was designed using the 4th Grade STAAR Writing Rubric from the Texas Department of Education it is just a student friendly version with simplified language. It shows them the difference between a 1, 2, 3 and 4 writing score.

This story map targets most of the questions kids are asked in the STAAR test. The questions are worded to help kids become familiar with the way they are going to see it in the test. The students will get exposed to vocabulary they will need to know. The definitions are included as well to help kids learn essential vocabulary.
