I am an online instructor for a college-level Aging Studies program, where I help students understand the aging process and the importance of meaningful engagement throughout life. My work has focused on creating educational and recreational activities that support learning, conversation, and connection.
Many of the resources I create, such as Triple Play Bingo, trivia quiz videos, and activity bundles with word scrambles, matching, word searches, and crossword puzzles, include choices so that teachers, caregivers, and activity leaders can adapt them to individual needs and abilities.
In addition to my online teaching experience, I have also substitute taught at all grade levels, which has given me an appreciation for the wide range of learning styles and abilities students bring to the classroom.

Awards & shining teacher moments
My Master’s Capstone project in Gerontology focused on Preferred Music for Patients with Dementia, exploring how familiar music can support comfort, engagement, and connection for individuals experiencing memory loss. A video presentation of this project is available through my website.
This project reflects my broader interest in creating activities that promote meaningful engagement and quality of life, particularly for older adults.

Additional biographical information
I am the parent of five grown children who now live in different states, along with one still in college. Watching them pursue their own paths has been one of the great joys of my life.
Outside of creating educational activities, I enjoy crocheting, painting, and recently began exploring woodworking. Creative work, whether designing activities or making something by hand, is an important part of how I stay curious and inspired.
