Students will be provided with quadrats displaying the growth of wild geraniums and dandelions (no need to go outdoors to gather your data). Using the randomly generated quadrats provided on the handout, students will test for an association between the two species using a chi-squared test with data from the quadrats. The handout walks through the steps of a chi-squared test and provides guidance on the interpretation of the results. There are a total of two practice problems provided using the
PDF format. Walks students through the labeling of substrates, enzymes, and products. It also looks at the various key features, including specificity and reusability, of enzymes using true or false questions. Activation energy (on a graph) and optimal pH and temperature are also addressed.
