Students read the article from the New Yorker "The Uninhabitable Earth" and take notes and have discussions over article. They make an infographic, then as a class discuss what they have taken from this article and the unit. This includes both rubrics for the infographic and Socratic Seminar.
Students are to research and summarize articles of different topics we have discussed all semester. They look for current articles through a reputable source and summarize them to indicate that they have read them. They bind them in what I call a scrapbook.
This is the end of the unit for an upper-level Junior/Senior level environmental science course that explores the issues of the environment not just what the environment is. It is broken up by categories.
