This Smart Notebook focuses on the elements of a map. MUST HAVE SMART NOTEBOOK APPLICATION TO USE THIS PRODUCT. There are 8 key terms, including title, scale, compass rose, cardinal directions, intermediate directions, contiguous, inset map and legend. It is 4 slides long with visuals for each vocab word as well as a formal definition. It is followed by two pages of interactive practice for students.

Capitalization-The Basics
This Smart Notebook lesson gives the basic rules for capitalization. It is a simple, four slide notebook that includes several examples for students to apply the rules by editing samples and sentences. Each sentence is hidden by a graphic that can easily be slid to the side so students can work on one example at a time. This notebook is good for new instuction or it can be used as a review for older students.

Experience

Teaching style
I believe that being well-rounded in the classroom is the best way to reach all students. There needs to be a balance of direct teaching, student discovery, collaborative work and so on to accomodate all learning styles.
My own education history
Following getting my Masters Degree, I continued my professional development by taking over 60 credits through classes at our local state college and teacher resource center. It was through these classes that I found my love for technology. It has been a wonderful tool that allowed me to engage my students in so many different ways.
