This review sheet can be provided to students before the NYS Common Core Mathematics Test. It is a one-sheet, double-sided, basic review of the material covered in the 7th grade. Some standards are reviewed through examples, with side annotations for often forgotten steps. It is a popular resource in my classroom as we near the state exams.

This writing activity gives your students the opportunity to show their math skills and explain their thought process.  As we know, the WHY in math is just as important (if not, more!) as knowing how to get there.  One standard is assessed at 3 different levels, allowing you to differentiate for your students at their appropriate level.  You can use this as an independent assignment, work for stations or centers, or as group work for discussion and writing.  An answer key is provided as well.The

This exit slip can be used after a lesson on the Distributive Property and factoring the GCF in an algebraic expression in the 7th grade. This is an assessment for Common Core Standard 7.EE.1.
