I was in need of extra practice solving BOTH addition and subtraction for my kindergartners so I made this activity! Students can use any strategy to help them solve the addition and subtraction problems. It can be used as a worksheet, in a station, or in whole group! I printed mine on colored paper (to differentiate the within 5 and within 10) laminated and used them in a center.

Included in this freebie are graphic organizers to help your students during black history month. After reading a story aloud to your class use this freebie to help your students name a trait of the person of focus. Students will also have to include evidence from the text to support their answer. This is a fun way to assess students understanding of non-standard measurement. On this quick check, students will measure Valentine objects with candy hearts (students will need candy hearts for measuring). This activity could also be used in a Math station. Students can also use cubes or paperclips.
