Experience

Hello everyone! I have been a middle school ELA teacher for over ten years and have moved to be the middle school librarian. I have a Bachelor's in English for Secondary education and a Master's in Education focusing on Reading Specialist. I am gifted and talented endorsed and am certified to teach in middle school.

Teaching style

I love to use class novels as a way to get students to read. I focus on working with the students one on one to help them find novels that they will enjoy and therefore help them to become stronger students. I love giving students the chance to talk and learn together instead of just relying on the teacher to give them the answer. I like letting students have experiences while they are trying to learn to help them truly get the material. I don't expect or want my library to be silent, but rather would like the students to talk and interact to have a positive experience.
