Leadership Styles Research

Use this activity to introduce your students to eight different leadership styles. Not only will students gain enough information to compare and contrast these styles but they will also reflect on their own as well as how the various styles are demonstrated in their own lives. This packet can be completed independently or as part of a small group and can be done printed or online.

Teaching style

My teaching style is fully rooted in creating a classroom environment where students feel valued, connected, and motivated to learn. Each day my students and I experience something a little different but always with an open mind and a willingness to apply the learnings to real life. Authentic discussion about character practices, the influence we have in the world, and how our actions impact others can lead to the best days in class.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am a 2023 PBS (KCTS 9) Golden Apple Award winner and a board member and presenter at the Washington Activity Coordinators Association. I am passionate about cultivating an environment that inspires empathetic, curious, and driven young people!

My own education history

I attended Western Washington University and earned a Bachelor's in Spanish and Secondary Education. I later attended Gonzaga University and earned a Master's in Organizational Leadership with a Servant-Leadership concentration. I am also CTE Certified in Project Management and Leadership.
