I have spent my entire adult career as an educator. In high school, I started out as an after-school teacher's aide. During college, I became a preschool teacher teaching ages from 6 weeks to 6 years, though mostly with Pre-Kindergarten. Later, I was a preschool director for 6 years. For the last four years I have taught elementary grades at a private non-profit character education school.

I have spent my entire adult career as an educator. In high school, I started out as an after-school teacher's aide. During college, I became a preschool teacher teaching ages from 6 weeks to 6 years, though mostly with Pre-Kindergarten. Later, I was a preschool director for 6 years. For the last four years I have taught elementary grades at a private non-profit character education school.
Teaching style
Teaching for me has always been about addressing the whole child, both in academics and in social emotional learning. This foundation was solidified in my years with preschoolers and carried into my elementary school classroom. In life, academics are not always the keys to success, often interpersonal skills are. My goal has always been to create independent, caring, and responsible citizens who enjoy learning and love to be curious. In the classroom I create and implement projects that are cross curricular, engaging, and create a spark for knowledge.
